Weekend Break

Today turned out OK. I missed my subuh, thats not OK, and breakfast hour.

It all began at 1030...because thats the time I woke up, I took my laptop, did some stats analysis, and some reading, then Syed texted me.
..

Mahdi : Salam. Ape plan arini? Aku igt nk kuar ngan hasif. Nk ikot?

Me : Waalaikumusalam. Nak pi mana?

Mahdi : Jln2 kat dunedin la. Cmm aritu. Tp tmpt lain. Lom decide where lg.
Me : Alright, nak mandi sat. Aku baru bangun, semalam terlebih tui. Sat eh, haha.

Sebab last week Mahdi ada ajak aku ikut, tapi time tu aku tengah study 222...beside, I don't want to get out on the weekend, so I declined his offer. Rupa rupa nya dia jalan pi Taiaroa Head, one of the nesting ground of Royal Albatross. Tempat tu memang aku teringin nak visit...shit tul. Oh yeah, for anyone not familiar with that name, Albatross ialah burung besar gila, look like a Seagull but they have wingspan average about 3 meters ...dulu aku ingat Albatross ni sejenis oyster.

So dengan terpikir maybe depa ni nak pusing pusing tempat ada view best, so aku join sekali. Padahal petang ni plan nak revise economy, saja nak cari alasan tuk relax
.

Ok. Settle mandi, siap siap and aku turun pi kat Botanical Garden, because they asked me to meet them there, dekat je dengan accommodation aku. Always wanted to go there, tapi selalu terlupa nak pi...so now ada chance

Some pics at the Botanical Garden,

Gambar lepas ni banyak bunga...

Haha, now its winter, wait till spring...confirm bunga banyak.

Ada green house gak,
Some cactus

Tropical plants

And some birds...
Can get free seeds from the garden office, entrance pun free

Feeding time

I went out with these guys...
View of the garden

After we done with the feeding, we headed to Signal Hill somewhere north.

Signal Hill
Love the view from up here...
Align LeftPanoramic view of the city - blogspot quality kinda SuX for this pic

This picture facing directly to Antarctica, as you can see...no cloud at that direction. Maybe it has something to do with earth magnetic field or something, even clouds here going either east or west, rarely south.

Some other view from up here

Later, we went to Baldwin St.
They claimed this is the steepest street in the world
Sorry, this is the best photo I can get with my phone camera

Hairball makan daun-fluffy gila, macam cover kotak tisu. I found this cat on my way up this street

Finally I made it...
Aku lumba dengan orang tua naik atas ni, haha...ada granny ni kuat gila kut, she jogged up this hill. Geram gak tengok granny ni overtake aku, so aku lari potong dia balik,haha...
P/S: Aku rasa Bukit Tonggek kat UiTM Shah Alam lagi curam

Time kat garden tu ada kedai Asian Grocery, guess how much imported durian here cost...

Yes...$21.30, and its not even big

Week 2

Thats not my shoes eh

It has been two weeks since my class started. My timetable kinda nice, no class on monday and lots of gap between each class, and believe it or not, I spent most of my time in the central library, even for one hour gap, haha...so not like me. Maybe Feng Shui library ni ok kut, hah. Beside, my room is too far away to walk back, tak macam kat UiTM dulu, ada gap sejam mesti balik college tuk tido. But not here.

I had to delete one of my paper this semester, Religion Studies. I don't understand almost everything what my religious lecturer talking about, he keeps on talking in metaphor about stuff, and I don't understand a single crap coming out of his mouth, not to disrespect, is just that this is not a literature class, or a philosophy, plus, its a propaganda shit, and I don't want to be any part of it anymore. Bias bitch. I thought we gonna learn about history of Judaisms, Christianity and Islam...the way I see it, they trying to create an understanding about Judaisms modified history and its zionist element, while undermining Christianity and especially about Islam. Dah la chapter pasal Islam last sekali and just briefly je, and paling sikit gila. Maybe its safe to say, about 2/3 of my text book dedicated for Judaisms, and you can guess how much left for Christianity and Islam. Even the past year exam paper questions dominated by Judaisms alone. Banyak sejarah Islam, even about Nabi Muhammad SAW, Sunnah, Hadis depa tak terima as "valuable, valid historical evidence", same goes to Christianity. BUT when it comes to Judaisms, almost everything A O-K. Don't have any debate or doubt about their "historical accounts". F* THAT!

But there is an essay title that I like to do on this paper, its about Zionism. The question goes like this,

To what extent is the historical movement of Zionism, as it began in the nineteenth century, responsible for the present conflict between Israelis and Palestinians in what many consider as the Holy Land? Give reason to your answer.

Sounds heavenly to write, but I need sources which they think is "valid" to use. HAH!!! The only valid sources are from the Zionist who wrote them. Validity of fact can only be approved, or atleast can be call a "fact" by the Zionist and their pro-Zionist. Any facts against them would not be call a fact, rather be call a anti-Semite. When we say Fact1: Israel has nuclear weapons capability, but they will say or influenced other to say, THAT IS NOT A FACT, THATS LOAD OF SPECULATION CRAP. Even after
an Israeli nuclear technician named Mordechai Venunu shown the world the photographic truth of the weapon existence in Dimona, Israel. This lead to J.F Kennedy sending in UN nuclear inspectors to check that place out. Of course, Venunu did warned that Israel will cover up their activity, and as predicted, UN inspectors failed to find any evidence of Venunu's claim. A week after the inspection, Kennedy was assassinated. You could guess who did it right? Of course Israeli Mossad Intelligent agency will make Soviet Russia or even Cuba as scapegoat, couple with the tension with Cuba at that time after the failure invasion of The Bay of Pigs supported by the Americans, its a perfect timing. Later Venunu was captured by Mossad and smuggled out from Italy(illegal by law) where Venunu took refuge. Oh yes, Kennedy was the LAST American President who challenged Israel. Fact2: Zionist Jews control the world by proxy, even evidence about it clearly shows how true that is, as our great leader Dr Mahathir Mohamad pointed out...and they labeled him as an anti-Semite. They let others die fight and die for them. They even created policies that favor their kind, and protecting them, at the same time exploiting others, ie. non-Jew. US policy tak payah cakap la, IMF policy, some bank policy, "international law", Hollywood policy, Opec policy, etc. So, what is fact?

These zion are persistence son of a b!tch, trying to create some Christian Zionist through religion studies, which I got to admit its quite smart. If you read this shit, you wouldn't understand much about the real Islam, and it's teaching.

Rather than wasting my time with this lies, plus the workload for this paper quite a lot, especially reading...450+ pages all (need to memorize some verse from the Torah too)...forget it. I have Zoology to focus on which more meaningful to me, you just a minor shit.

Even if I wrote the essay with the sources I consider as fact, he would probably fail me, like I failed my MUET's essay. I wrote about how Yasser Arafat inspires me, and I fail the essay...damn, mesti Zionist tanda essay aku tu. Originally, I wanted to write about Adolf Hitler...imagine what my result be like if I did that...haha, maybe he/she burn my essay and then piss on it, haha. Or call Mossad to arrange an "fatal accident" for me.

Enough about that,

Just need to keep on fighting, and fight smartly.

Ok, im taking four papers this semester.
1. ZOOL222 - Evolutionary Analysis

2. ZOOL223 - Animal Physiology

3. BSNS 104 - Principle of Economy

4. CHEM111 - Molecular Architecture

Molecular Architecture...sounds cam besar je, padahal chemistry part 1-3 diploma je. This will refresh my rusty brain cells about chem knowledge, plus, im gonna take 300-level Chemistry before my final semester here, so this will be a start for me.

Economy tu aku saje je ambik, sebab pernah buat kat UiTM Shah Alam...and fail ones. Here too not much different from UiTM, my economy lecturer warned us that the fail rate for his class is about 40%, and last semester was the worst...and I was like, DAMN!!! jangan jadi cam dulu dah la. Insyallah this time I can do better. Tapi lecturer economy ni best.

I have two core papers. 222 and 223. Lecturers are great, so far they explained very clearly and orderly and they use lots of video to teach us. My classmates are alright, and intimidating at the same time...some have vast knowledge of animals, and tanya soalan kat lecturer gila gila, some of the questions I never even thought about...mmm, need to be more vigilant, but they are friendly though. I also had to learn how to use statistical analysis for my 223 last week, thank god for R Commander software, this will make my work much easier. Next week we are going to Otago Museum for my 222 lab, we need to find some evidence, or atleast some example about animal evolution. Oh yes, and essay. I need to write a science essay which I never done before, about 2500words, so I don't have the slightest clue as to how in the hell to do it. Good thing they have a Student Learning Center to help me, and im taking their essay workshop...and its free. At this point, I need all the help I can get. Even my zoology coordinator trying to help me.

Texts here are bloody expensive. Buku Zoology paling murah pun around NZD110, nasib aku beli secondhand before class start hari tu, start start je class semua secondhand dah habis jual. Cost me half the price and still in good condition. Stationary pun mahal kut, 1 small selefon tape pun dah 4 dollars, gila ar.
Wei, syukur you guys dapat subsidi buku kat sana tu

mmm, while im typing this entry, my college mates tengah enjoy being drunk, because its friday night, aka lets-get-drunk-night...noisy assholes, haha, especially the girls. After im done writing this entry, im gonna join them and get parch...hahaha

See ya

Clam Hunting

Patutnya hari ni aku bayar accommodation fee aku kat bank, and I was on my way there too.
Tapi aku lupa yang hari ni senior senior medic nak bawak aku and Syed pi cari clam somewhere on the north-eastern side, somewhere in Deborah Bay... and we going there by a MPV - medics here have their own car, since its quite cheap for a secondhand, plus, they gonna be staying here for atleast 6 years. Aku dah half way there dah, I dont like to procrastinate...tapi nak jaga hati senior senior, yang so far being very helpful and good to us. So I postponed my plan for the next day.

Kutip kepah.

On our way there, we were dazzled by the spectacular view of Otago Harbour. I can't stop taking pictures...too bad I didn't bring my sis punya SLR, otherwise you guys could see better detail.

Some pics on the way there...

It took us about 20minutes to get there, but it was worth every second.

This is somewhere between Aramoana and Careys Bay. Theres a Malaysian student doing Marine Biology in Otago Uni and he found a large population of clam and the size of one clam is as big as human palm, hiding deep beneath the sand in this location-tak de la dalam sangat.

Don't have any picture of the clam though...

We had to walked out there in the cold water to find those clams, and we need to dig for it...with our bare hands. It won't take long until my hands started get numb, good thing they brought along their rubber boots, otherwise my toes would get frost bites and I won't know about it.

Baru nak pi cari clam

When we first arrived, there wasn't any wind. Sini angin dia memang sejuk sangat. We went to checked out the spot first, to see if the water level was any deep. At that time air tengah surut, so ok la.

We solat zohor kat tepi pantai ramai ramai, after that...clam hunting. We allowed to collect only mature clams, which buried deep in the sand. Nak bezakan, just tengok size je. Yang besar tu kira dah matang la.

The seniors collected 2 buckets filled with clams, most of them from a same spot...banyak gila. Kalau lah cari clam ni cam cari emas..wah, memang hancur tempat ni. Actually there is a law for this clam, a specific amount of clams can be collected per person. I don't know exactly how many, but one of the senior did mentioned that to me, and cara dia cakap cam kita dah langgar undang undang tu.

After selesai collect clam,...makan!!!. One of the senior prepared a lunch for us all from home. Hah, time kita nak makan tu la angin sejuk mai. Dah la tangan dah beku sebab kutip clam -not that I complaining or anything-, haha, so makan dalam keadaan menggigil...tapi makanan sedap, tak apa, gagah kan diri time tu.

A panoramic view of the bay- sorry, blogspot tak bagi stretch lagi.

Habis makan, we headed to Aramoana...

Few kilometers away from our clam picking location is Aramoana

One of the senior medical student

This beach is very beautiful, too bad there wasn't any penguin around at that time...always wanted to see a one

Alright, the journey was fun. Hopefully it will still be fun when my first semester begins, insyallah. Back at their place, clam clam tu kita rebus, and some of the clams kita grill...sedap gak. Joanne, I know how much you love eating clams, so get your ass here to get some, and bring your bike here too. There are plenty of awesome places here for trail riding.

Bye
