Daylight Saving Time?

A TIME SAVING WHAT????!!!

That was the question I asked when I came in 'late' for my lab just now...

I normally the first person to arrive for chemistry lab, but not today...all thanks to Daylight Saving Time.

When I got into the lab about 10 minutes early according to my watch sebab lab aku start pukul 2pm, and terkejut tengok dah ramai dalam lab...in my mind duk pikir "ni pa awal gila depa mai, siap dah buat lab dah..." and budak budak pun cam hairan tengok aku masuk, so I asked my lab partner

Me: Am I late? Isn't our lab supposed to start at 2?
Zeki: Yeah, its 3pm now...daylight saving time change, started yesterday
Me: a time saving what?!
Zeki: Daylight change
Me: WTF is that?

Serious aku tak pernah dengar term tu,
So si Zeki tu lak tak tau nak explain kat aku so dia panggil lab assistance tuk explain...bla bla...bla... rupanya whole of NZ time changed to an hour ahead than it should be...so cam case aku tu, jam aku tunjuk pukul 2pm, padahal dah pukul 3pm due to the Daylight Saving tu. As it turned out, banyak gak negara ada guna daylight saving ni, those on northern and southern hemisphere. Something to do with summer I guess. Malaysia kat equator so tak ada la guna benda ni since timing daylight kita constant. Depa start tukar time semalam. Tu aku duk hairan apa pasal cafeteria college aku tutup awal semalam...aku tak makan langsung yesterday...makan chocolate ja and some nutbars.

Lab partner aku bukan nak text aku, dia assume aku tido...cam haram, haha...padahal aku tengah lunch an hour earlier. Nasib lab hari ni tak banyak kerja...boleh la balik awal.

So I just learned something new today...nasib tak ada test hari ni, kalau tak free free je fail.

Scott Pilgrim VS The World

Have you guys heard of this movie before? Released about a month ago...

If you like humor, nonsense, action, music, comic, game, and some of that love junk genre, well this might be the movie for you...

Scott Pilgrim Vs The World

Its about a slacker named Scott Pilgrim (Micheal Cera) who fell in love with this new girl, Ramona Flowers (Elizabeth Winstead) , but this girl has a long bad (and kinda weird in someway) history, and has seven evil Exes...yeah, Seven Evil Exes (naughty little girl, haha) - there is a good reason why they don't call it seven evil ex-boyfriends...This evil exes somehow formed a league to control Ramona love life, and Ramona's happiness. So in order to win Ramona over, Scott soon learns that he must defeat all Ramona's evil exes who are coming to kill him...and the rest you guys need to find out yourself, haha.

This movie seriously lawak gila and lots of funny shit... Me and my friend been laughing dari start sampai habis movie ni, memang suara kita je la yang kuat...since just ada 4 orang je yang tengok movie tu, so tak kisah la nak gelak kuat kuat, hahaha...teruk gila sambutan kat sini...JUST 4 PEOPLE, im not kidding. Plus, wayang sini pun cam tak best sangat. Sound tak best and screen pun bukan wide screen, tapi kerusi depa best, luas gila and leg room pun luas.

I don't understand why people don't want to watch this movie...its a really good movie. Tau la tak ada orang famous berlakon but it doesn't mean depa tak reti berlakon. Merapu ala ala Scary Movie 1... minus the overly exaggerated sex part la.

I give this movie 3.7 out of 5

Give it a shot...maybe you guys might like it too.

Here one of the songs from the movie, 'Black Sheep',

I love hearing this song for the first 30 times (maybe), after that I just got sick of it, hahaha...pretty decent music, kinda...

We got shitty points for our zoology group project. All those hard works are now meaningless to me. Mainly sebab depa tak nak dengar cakap aku...degil! Im kinda angry with all 4 of my groupmates...all except for one la.

We did an experiment about The Effect of Ecdysteroid on Drosophila melanogaster's pupal rate. This experiment kinda tricky at first, especially we need to figure out what kind of data do we want to use and type of statistical analysis we need to apply.

Our group kinda messed up since the beginning because we never appointed a leader for our group...so semua ikut kepala masing masing. Proposal for the experiment pun cam tak detail and banyak hole. I told them to emphasized on detailed time frame and to know the effective minimum concentration of the ecdysteroid and the effective procedure to apply them....but NOOOOO!!! They won't listen. Our proposal pun dapat 57% which is very unacceptable to me, siap supervisor bagi alot of angry comments lagi (some of his comments tak masuk akal pun)...

During the preparation of the experiment...hah!!, hahaha...

To make things simple...we screwed up the entire experiment and ANOVA test shows that our data has 'no significant different' between each samples...FUCK!!! Wasting my time and effort je. Now we need to write a report about how fucked up our results were and why they need to listen to me next time, ahha (ego gila), but I was right though...

All those months work turned to curd.

For the record, we were randomly assigned to each group...so leceh gak dapat orang susah nak berkerjasama.Actually there should be a significant different, this means that our concentrations of the hormone were too low, below the effective minimum amount, or probably the the hot molten agar destroyed the hormone sebab depa buh hormone dalam food source larva tu - I proposed to individually inject the hormone directly into the larvae during 3rd instar, tapi depa tak mau.

Ok, I think I finished digressing here...

Is it really gonna be a war?

Im sure some of you guys are aware of some diplomatic friction between Malaysia and with one of our neighbor, Indonesia. Recently, about the arrest of some Indonesian naval border guards (correct me if im wrong) by Malaysian navy (or was it by marine police, I don't remember), because they strayed into Malaysia side. But all of them have been released shortly afterward. I don't know what those Indonesian sailors told their media back home, or maybe their media made up stories about those sailors treatment and interrogation by Malaysian side... to put it in another word, their media just want to make Indonesians to hate Malaysia. Which they did.

Since some Indonesians which are naive enough to believe that fairytale news set by their own media, and some extra provocation from the opposition parties...then you got few thousand very angry Indonesians. Pelting their Indonesian shit (probably animal shit too) at Malaysian Embassy, and a threat of war... WAR?

They want a war? With Malaysia? hahaha, cute joke...

Im quite surprised that some Malaysians kinda anxious with that threat, even my sis... What are you guys need to be afraid of? They have been threatening us like that since after the Indonesia-Malaysia Confrontation in the 60's. I remember it like it was yesterday...when Malaysia kicked Indonesia's ass...Well, the Commonwealth nations did most of the kicking, haha.

I read this one article forwarded by one of my friend, written by an idiot moron... The writer is a Malaysian. He stated that Indonesia will have to face 4 nations if Malaysia were to attack by Indonesia. Those nations are England, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore. Its because of one treaty pack, the Five Powers Defense Agreement (FPDA)... This agreement is full of shit, like England, Australia, NZ, and Singapore really want to get involve, even if they did, they would be very reluctant to do so, get real!!!

- Australia bukan nya suka Malaysia pun,
- NZ armed forces not even nearly strong enough...Indonesian TNI more formidable

- The British is too far away even if they wanted to intervene
- Singapore? Why they even want to bother

Malaysia can kick Indonesian ass anytime, plus, Indonesia doesn't have the money to finance their war against Malaysia even if they wanted too...they will bankrupt their nation and ruin their economy as it is...

So, there will be no war. Or less likely to happen. This is just some internal political unrest caused by opposition parties to gain support to topple the existing government. Kerajaan Indonesia relax je, rakyat depa je la yang kecoh gila tak tentu pasal.

You have heaps of problems in your hand already, no need to add anymore suffering to yourself and to your nation. You have massive internal problems need to sort out first, like:

1. High level of corruption (all time favorite),
2. Natural disasters,

3. Ethnic unrest,

4. Armed Separatists,

5. Economic problem, and

6. your massive IMF bill still need to pay...

One dangerous thing about the TNI is that majority of their members are loyal to their generals, not to their government. That is one of the reasons why Indonesia military affair kinda stable after Susilo took over the government, since he is a military general. I believe any rouge general will consider NOT to attack Malaysia. Launching an attack on Malaysia will require large shift and movement of soldiers from the whole country to one or few concentrated area of attack, and this shift will make Indonesia much vulnerable to external counter-attack and exposed to invasion by outside force, because that shift will make some part of Indonesia less protected. Couple with their massive border area to protect, they need to stretch their forces dangerously thin to defend all their land and to launch any counter-attack of their own if being invaded, not to mention having no sufficient number of troops to occupy Malaysia. Beside, majority Indonesian military hardware are outdated and lacking of modern and more accurate weapons, but they do have numbers on their side...about 200,000 of them.

Well, those are some of my analysis for this issue, haha.

Hope the new generation, well educated and peace-loving Indonesians able to lead their countrymen for a better and prosperous future. and stop being dengki and sabotage kejayaan orang lain. If you really want to fight, then go fight those zionist assholes, or helping out the Chechen rebels.

So, let there be peace!!!

Hahaha, SNOW DAY!!! DURING SPRING SEASON!!! what a screwed up weather pattern we're having here...

Well not really screwed up... actually some massive Antarctica storm drifting northward beyond its normal range. Tasmania Island got hit first...

...and now (drum roll please!!!)...

...ITS OUR TURN!!!

The south island, where I am now, witnessing the full force of the storm which according to the NZ weather crew said its "the largest storm on the planet" and roughly the size of Australia or something...im sure they exaggerated that...they always do.

So this storm gonna change the temperature a lot for atleast for a week, dropping the temperature about -10 to -20 degrees Celsius. Supposedly around 7-12 degrees Celsius during spring.

Actually its already changing...now its 4 degrees Celsius + cold wind + some precipitation = snow...haha.

Some pics...

Eat snow, bitch!!!

Some of Malaysian guys

HAHAHA, tipu je....damn weather forecaster!!!
~ this is the last time I listen to them ~

Tak banyak snow sangat pun kat area aku ni, kalau ada pun cair dalam masa 10 minutes...cisss!!!

My place somehow protected from the full effect of the storm...maybe because of the sea, tapi inland areas banyak kena heavy snow and strong wind. Padahal about 15-20km inland je, but not much at my place.

Yang gambar gambar tu kita pi somewhere inland, few kilometers from the city center. Senior saja bawak kita pi main snow last weekend...it was fun... Until kita kena halau by some rude Kiwi, siap bawak anjing tuk halau kita...bitch! ITS NOT YOUR LAND!!! ITS MAORI'S!!!

Anyway,
There wasn't any steady snow battering my place during the day, hail storm ada la!

Nak gak snow...nak sled down turun bukit college aku.

And to some unrelated news,

Chocolate sales!!!...my friend buat gila pi beli banyak banyak

To tell you the truth, im already sick eating all these Whittakers' chocolates...they are better off jadi house of cards - more like house of chocolate bars

SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI!!!
Its finally here...its finally here...

haha...saja nak bagi nampak seronok,

Well im trying to make myself to enjoy this festival, because I seem to lost my raya spirit...and don't say I didn't fast during ramadhan, or I'll kick your ass...maybe sebab tak pergi solat terawikh kut...SO,

Day 1
- Raya Day

I pretty much screwed up the first day of raya... I missed the solat sunat aidilfitri, and everything goes with it. I woke up at 10am...can't sleep last night. I missed my zoology class and my economy tutorial too.

I had to go to the uni library first to help my friend with her lab report, since I was hoping Eid fell on Saturday, so my schedule was quite busy on raya day. Then later I got the chance to beraya with my fellow Malaysians (sembang cam ramai, padahal 5 orang je). They all were wearing baru melayu satu set... Aku cam out of place lak, because I was wearing a cloth my friend bought for me, and I promised her that I will wear it during my first raya here, haha.

Then we went north, beraya rumah orang Singaporean malay and his family...ayam goreng dia best kut. Thats was one of the reason these guys wanted to go there first...for his fried chickens. Rumah Singaporean tu ala ala rural british style gak, nice setting, with his kids running around in the backyard with the sun shining down.(don't have any picture though)

Then we went back. I wasn't much of a raya for the first day. Actually, kinda SuX.

Day 2

I woke up late...again, and went to zoology lab to check my experiment sample.

And I was wearing my baju melayu too, haha. Only the top dulu, sebab nak kena pi lab, after the lab baru pakai lengkap seluar and sampin... minus the songkok.
I joined up with some of the malaysian guys, and went for a raya frenzy...

Here are some of the pictures,

Main Wii time raya

Homemade pudding

Cats eating

We went to four houses on the second day of raya...

Day 3

Went to the zoology lab again, and no...I woke up early today, for the first time in this week.

Truthfully, I had enough of raya celebration...so I don't have any plan to go any open house today. My plan was to walk back to my college and study economy after I deal with my sample.

But that plan was short lived.

After the lab, I got a reminder on my phone to retrieve my two coupons at a friend house nearby, so I went there, and I wasn't aware till then that they were having an open house...so cam langkah kanan le, and I was the first person to arrived, haha, aku tetamu diundang eh...sebab aku tak baca text invitation depa hantar semalam.

Played some tennis game on Wii for awhile...then, makan!!!

Nasi lemak, ayam goreng, mee kari, rendang daging, and some other stuff I can't remember... they were delicious...because these guys really know how to cook. They are famous for their sate here.

Activity other than makan...
Playing Wii, and some poker (i guess) time raya

That one was kinda happening gak...

Because I have an optional economy test this Wednesday, so I have to go back to my college tuk study.

On my way back, I met Jordan by coincidence as I was walking pass-by the church he normally goes. He invited me to another open house...its not far anyway, so OK, and I kinda glad I went there too...lagi meriah kut, haha...

Segan gak mai tak bawak apa apa...

Serunding ayam (imported dari Malaysia), nasi himpit, keropok ikan, mee and some kuah kari-i think

There were lots of people sitting on the floor before I took this picture

For me, the third day of aidilfitri was better than the previous two..., but still no duit raya though. Well those are some of my first raya here in NZ. Looking forward for our next weekend raya event. Hope you guys enjoy your raya...

Now, gotta go study for my economy test.

~Bye~

Rebellion

36hours and counting...that is how long I've been awake. My brain and body are rebelling against its master!!!

- I did not take any coffee
- No energy drink or sort (like I really need it)
- Not on medicine
- Have no idea whats going on

Maybe I screwed up my biological clock bad this time...

Im pretty sure my brain cells are cooking up in my cranium... I wish I can sleep soundly like her...

Cyanide anyone?

Finally I am free from that tyrannous essay, proposal and journal report!!! It was hard battle...but I manage to pulled it through.

Since I can't sleep now,

Lets recap what I've been missing for the pass god knows when I last checked into my Heinz's account.

My mid-term break started...lock myself up in my room...kill off all my assignments, YAHOO!!!...I accidentally forgot Merdeka Day...went up to mount Cargill...oh yeah, we had an earthquake...bla bla bla, no one was killed...my laptop screen got smashed by my Campbell text book..term break over...and now here...

RAYA...

My aidilfitri mood still hasn't kicked in yet...hopefully it will come soon. Since this is not Malaysia, we don't have too many holidays, so no, class as usual on raya day...if raya falls on Friday that it. And don't ask me about that Kosmo salam perantauan stuff, because I haven't seen any fellow Malaysians for more than 2 weeks now, and they normally plan for that. So I don't know what they been up to.

Im sure you guys are at home or at your kampung preparing for raya eh...bakar lemang, kacau dodol, masak rendang, main meriam buloh, buat serunding...mmm, good times...good times, because I never really done all those things, now I feel a bit homesick for this raya, haha.

Maybe some of the kuih raya my mom sent me will compensate that...well, whats left of it, since some asshole mishandled the parcel (even though my sis placed lots of "fragile" stickers on it) and crush almost all of my raya biscuits...out of 6 kotak kuih, only 2 intact, one of them broke in half. Maybe depa main rugbi dengan kotak aku kut...

I missed Yasser Arafat birthday last week...shit tul, cam mana tah boleh lose track.

Sorry Sir!!! We will recover Palestinian land back, and laid your body near the Al-Ansar mosque as your dying wish, Insyallah.LONG LIVE THE INTIFADA!!!

We have Eid celebration here too. On raya day celebration is organized by the city mosque (and the only mosque here), and the second is organized by Otago Malaysian Student Association. Don't want to keep my expectation too high though...
Im gonna get ready to class now... enjoy your holiday, and

SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI
